A Note on Subraces: Read Careully - Enforced

Subraces Rules:

1. All open subraces open to play without any special permission, are playable after a three week period of time playing a normal toon on the server with active Role Play to understand and learn our lore. Otherwise seek a DM, DO NOT just make a toon and slap wings and tails on and call it whatever. This does not mean log in once and three weeks later make a subrace, you must RP.

2. Each subrace has attributes and vulnerabilities, and expected to RP as such. Alot of time and effort has gone into creating them for players, so please respect our rules when playing them.

3. These subraces are native to the Dark Isles and we only ask that if played that you keep in mind the authenticity of them to the world. More info on subraces can be found in the server rules section of these forums.

4. If you’re unsure, take a little extra time with a normal toon first, and learn the lore of the lands, that you cannot get from the forums. This may help you to play and build their characters, as our lore does not follow that of Fearuen.

5. If you are not willing to take the downsides that come from the subracial attributes and the RP both negative as well as favorable, don’t make one. Also keep in mind whatever the base race is, those stats are applied first before the subracial stats are leto'd in. On creation you will be logged out and then back in, don't panic over the black screen.

6. Any information given about a Permission subrace, is for that Toon only, this is not permission to create more of that race without the proper given permissions. If you make mistakes, contact a DM BEFORE recreating, as these are stored in a data base, they must be properly cleared from such, as well as your server vault. This applies to all subraces, rebuilds re-leveling require rebuilds, require Admin assistance. Do not remake the characters without assistance to avoid multiple entries in data base, as well as possible corruption to your character. Rebuilds will be refused if you are simply using the toon to power level, and no RP has been noted. Strong emphasis on the fact we are an RP server FIRST. NON-RP’D characters will be removed from data base and servervault.

7. Because a subrace is open, this does not mean all 20 of your toons should be of that one race, or another subrace, or you need one of every type of subrace... Servers require a little balance between normal playable toons as well as subracial. Please show some common sense and be reasonable. NOT TO BE ABUSED.

8. Alterations on available subraces, please clear them with Admin first. Some may require special skins and special scripts, in order to play them properly. *All questions can usually be answered, if it is available to play, or may be so in the future. As some things can cause some confusion to other players, when some things in this world do not exist. Even when choosing a God for example, one can hardly play a cleric of Sune, when Sune cannot reach them here. The Subraces are not really any different than the given example. Alterations and RP of non- subracial characters, MUST be cleared through ADMIN/DM'S first.

!!!IMPORTANT!!!
It is important to type in the subrace name EXACTLY as it is listed following the line "To play......:" or it will not work! Any Subrace chosen must be RP'D, or it will be removed from the vault, as will Toons with classes not RP'ing their gods where applicable. See Deity Listing for the Elshara as they are very specific to this world, outside Deities cannot be reached.

Some subrace appearances do have conflicts with some walk meshes when attempting to go through doors, due to the size.

9. Looting and Exploiting factioned areas is strictly prohibited for personal gain. Example: Goblin areas and you’re a goblin, That makes it an exploit. Simply don’t do it! The faction system is in place, and there are places you will have to fight your way through, because not all races are loved and cherished as others are.

Subraces that will become open to public to play freely will be listed in as time permits, with their attributes and stat changes. Note: listed below are posted those playable immediately, and those that require permissions or a time frame before creation.

Subraces may be added over time, if there is a realistic request for such that fits this world setting. Contact DM Misty. Information currently not on the forums will be added and those subraces will then be available for play.

If the Subrace is not listed , please contact DM Misty before creating. Some subraces we will not be brought in , some are specific to this world. Races that are ones going through rp changes, such as werewolves and vampires, that DO require DM PERMISSIONS to play, will be started again at level one on recreation, rp reason , your sick , your bloods changing, you must become strong again as an example. the Few prestige races that we are currently working on adding in are again changes, though they are not required to take, if you wish to remain the lower class of that race, but they are not able to take before level 40, and on remake will only get back 20 levels. They are based on your rp! As well keep in mind, that even though we are not a hardcore server, there are some circumstances through your RP, and storyline, whereas a toon can and will be Permed.

This is set in place to keep things on a fair and even playing field for all playing here. Rules do not apply to just a single individual but to everyone evenly, and wil be enforced.

Shortly here I will also be adding in a few more of the subraces that do not require permissions to play, currently they are in the testing phaze. I will get them posted as quickly as possible. AGAIN if you have questions please ask, we are here to help.

Subraces have been modified, not all stats are given upon creation, they are given over increments of time during the build of the character. Questions please contact myself via PM on forums or ingame
