Ellidril
She once was a thriving city situated not far from the main Elven Lands of that so many knew of as rose burrow and Lia’didrias. Her lands were vast patrolled by her peoples known as the dancers. A strong race of some Elven decent more commonly known as Drow, but had separated from their counter parts. Where the Drow had delved into the dark arts and magic’s such as necromancy the Dancer’s took a more subtle approach, using the arcane and the magic weave they knew that formed the lands and held them together.

Da’Cria was an ancient and powerful shadow drake that took the dancers under her wings and showed them the truth of the lands how they could meld their arcane to the lands and build upon them, this people so eager to learn, had learned to live with the lands and its magic, drawing their strength from it through her teachings. She was looked upon as a queen. Many years of prosperity had passed as the old ancient dragon had given birth to a single egg that hatched many years later. The people protected him and as she aged she taught her son the ways of the people to work alongside them and rule over them till one day he would find himself a queen, one worthy enough to take his mothers place on the throne. Fate would not be so kind to Da’Cria for she passed away before such would come to pass. Her son mourned her death and to protect his people until that day he would be blessed with love, he gathered them together and with the help of each and every Dancer through nights of chanting a magic dome was formed over the main city. The other outside were summoned to return home and her vast lands for now would be forfeit, only to one day be reclaimed when their might was once again strong enough and the chosen one was ready to take her place at Da’Cria’s sons side.

For one thousand years the people slept with nothing more than a few who remained awake to keep the dome strong, to keep this ancient race from the sites of the commoners that might tread past unknowingly, or too close to her city borders. The dome hide them from the ships on the sea, she remained invisible to all and soon was a past memory and forgotten. During this time the lush lands that surrounded the city washed away turning it into many smaller parts, the waters meandering through the city streets, but the cities beauty remained, and even those that had been lost during the time, their legacies would by those who remained be long remembered and passed onto the new.

It was time for the city to awake, prophecy had run its course and the chosen one reached of age, an uneasiness moved through the lands and the cores of the weave shot up high above ground, that so many began to call the obelisks. Each one similar in shape and form, carried ancient symbol’s upon them that many tried desperately to decipher, but to no avail as a recent fire has destroyed any chances that they might know the meaning of what was happening. The Dome that once hid the ancient city now weakened and its people began to awake. It was time for the young prince now to go out and seek the chosen and return with her to the city, to make her strong again and lead her people. In his absence the people began to rebuild, they build grand walkways between each segment of the separated lands. Drawing upon the weave and their magic’s soon returned. Their armies rebuilt and went out retaking what once theirs was driving the shadow barbarians deep into the hot deserts of the Elven lands where they would agree to pass no further should they remain there never to set foot on dancer lands again. The lands remained at unease; the weave seemed ready to fall apart as earthquakes tore through on a regular basis. In he outside world, within the Drow city the Valsharess angered had set a price on her daughters head driving her from the city to flee for her life. Bounty hunters tracked her daily, driving her further and further from a life she knew. Alone and distraught the very night she was about to be descended upon and her life to forfeit, she found only darkness as a dark figure engulfed her small form bringing her to an unconscious state a she was quickly drugged and unable to fight back. The bounty hunter so unaware of how close4 his target was strode by, as the dark figure wait in the shadow with the young unconscious female ready to strike him down should he get too close. Cherundos would not yet claim the life of that man that night; fate was on his side that night leading him away from the couple.

Back in the palace the young woman was bound to the young prince as his blood was shared with hers, days passed she was fevered and ill, dreams of a past filled her thoughts, teachings and a way of life. When the fever finally broke the young maidens greeted their new queen, and she was lead to a grand bath whereupon she was bathed and dressed in the finest of all silks, adorned with the very symbols of their people and magic’s they possessed. When she was lead to the throne room in the chair the most dashing of men stood at the side of the throne the smile on his face widened as she approached, without stretched hand he greeted his new wife and lead her to her before her new people. Her eyes fixated on this man whose wings stretch out seeming to go forever blending in with the magic runes that adorned the palace walls. She was queen, and he was her husband, her mate, and one day would bring him a daughter that would one day take her place on the throne.

Months and years seemed to pass quickly as she learned of their ways, emissaries were sent out to meet with the different factions of this new world that the Dancer race had now become a part of. Treaties were negotiated and signed, those that did not agree were cast aside, and feelings that could lead to war could be imminent, but only time could possibly tell. It was now time for this young queen to go out into the new world with all that she was taught and had learned, to each obelisk she went, and chanted her words. The grounds moved the weathers changed from season to season, cold winds became tropical the seas rose swelling the shore banks, then the large obelisks sunk back beneath the ground rejoining the magic weaves they were once a part of, again the lands were at ease…… or at least for a while.

Though whispers the young queen and kings names, outside the city of Ellidril have never been spoken, their identities remain unknown to all.
