The Assassination

The day for this woman started out fairly much the same, though she had much on her mind. She wrestled with a great many ideas with the news that had been brought to her, then made her way to the bounty hunters determined to make the problems go away. Word got to the one she sought out, though didn’t know his name but after a few hours of waiting he finally showed. It was better this way nothing could come back on her, it would be a clean hit, and no one the wiser for it. After negotiations, a deal were struck and she paid the dark stranger half the gold with the remainder to be delivered once she was satisfied that the job was complete and there would be no repercussions. As quietly as she had gotten there she left much the same way using the shadows to hide her and was gone.

As the woman left the dark stranger chuckled to himself as he counted out the gold, and made the arrangements to have one of his own take care of it personally. Instructions were given and the other man then left to do as he was bid, no questions asked.

In the city things that night were fairly quiet, the owner of the bar cleaning up after a small group of patrons had left to adventure the outlying areas of the city. A dark clad man entered the bar ordered up a drink making small conversation with the man behind the bar. After some time he made preparations to seek shelter for the night convincing the bartender to show him what they had available and if it was suitable. Salino lead the man to the room at the top of the stairs showing him around, before he himself would turn in for the night. Salino was not aware of the man’s intentions… but as the coins for payment were dropped tot eh floor and salino reached down to gather them up quickly found himself in a compromising situation, the dark stranger was swift with his blade quickly driving it into Salino’s chest through his heart while covering his mouth that anyone might not hear his screams. Blood quickly oozed from the fresh open wounds spilling over onto the floor soaking into the carpeting that lay under the twitching bartender’s body. The strangers quickly rolled the body up and drug it to a corner out of the way while he made his way to Salino’s room to gather up as much as he could to make the scene look as though Salina had skipped town.

Getting the body out of town would be a bit more challenging as the dark man gathered the items placing them in the rolled carpet with the dead body…. He knew he would have to move quickly before the blood would completely soak through, carefully and quietly made his way from the inn and headed out of town avoiding people and the guards that were on patrol that night. Once out of town the body was disposed of, the remains would not last long, for the wild creatures he know would make quick work of anything that might at all be identifiable.
