I think it would be good in the terms of creating new interesting mixes and giving people new character choices - to buff up some of the existing but not very attractive classes:
Mostly the Fighter, Assasin and Purple Dragon Knight that would require some major add ons - now that could be easily done without even doing much work simply placing few items on the server with right script like for example (the statue of fighter) or whatever.
It should be fair if such add-ons were given to slightly make those more interesting.
I think it would not be overdoing anything if on activation such item would give a temporary once a day boost (lets say equals rounds to 1/2 the number of levels in a class +5) if one has required amount of certain class.
Like for example:
Fighter:
(for each 6 levels of the class temporary boost)
+1 to fort saves
+1 to ab
+1 to str
+5% slashing,piercing, blunt dmg reduction
+1 to physical dmg
So Maxed out bonus (36 lvl fighter temporary 23 rounds boost +6 fort saves, +6 ab, +6 Str, 30% physical dmg reduction, +6 physical dmg)
Assasin:
(for each 5 levels of the class temporary boost)
+1 to reflex saves
+1 to will saves
+1 to AC
+1 to int
+2 to spot
So Maxed out (30 lvl Assasin temporary 20 rounds boost +6 reflex and will saves, +6 AC, +6 int, +12 spot)
Purple Dragon Knight:
(for each 5 levels of the class temporary boost)
+ 1 to all saves
+ 1 to Charisma
+ 1 to AC
+ 8 to spell resistance
+ 3 to persuade and intimidate
Maxed out (30 lvl PDK temporary 20 rounds boost +6 all saves, +6 AC, +6 Cha, +48 spell resistance, +18 persuade and intimidate)
And yes I know it is an RP server so class balance is secondary issue and this is just a suggestion.

That actually sounds like a really cool idea - Like the token item you get in the single player campaign at the start of the first expansion (if any of you remember that, ahahaha).
Except for the fact that Purple Death Knights are like Harper Scouts and can only take 5 levels, but maybe the PDK and HS could get a totem/token/statue - whatever you want to call it that provides a greater incentive to use these undervalued classes.
If all classes had a totem, that would be really cool, but perhaps you need to have 10 levels in that class first - because the multiclassing requirements of the server have a minimum level of 5 anyhow. :S
I guess it is one of those things that can generate some interesting results if implemented well - but of course it is something for the future, once all the crafting is up and running. :D
