While the new server and its players are getting acquainted this will be a place holder for the mages guild. For the moment the registrations are open to join the guild. But this is an RP based guild which means that it is expected of the members to come in once and awhile and do diligence to act as a wizard that seeks to learn, teach, or some how provide in service to the guild. Fines are taken out as per a small fee to apply but as such later on spells are more available for spell books, experience awarded for role play with in the guild, and items not available to none guild members that can only be purchased with in the guild. Guild is expanded to take in all forms of casters wishing to join.

Tenets of the guild are simple as the Mage guild is a neutral standing.

1.) The mage guild does not get involved with political, social, and/or other guild related issues that do not pertain directly to arcane magic.
2.) No member will be found being corrupt in the use of their magic which includes but not limited to personal or financial gain with in town walls; or extreme usage and displays of power out side of town such as building armies or changing the terrain in drastic measures.
3.) Magic in the use of towns is limited and not to be used beyond the stated laws nor will duels of magical nature be accepted with in any city regardless of the city laws.
4.) Any person aiding any member that is breaking these tenets is as liable as the rule breaker and will be dealt with in similar manor suiting to the offence.
5.) None members of the mage guild but that use magics maybe involuntary subject to these rules and members should report such deeds to the mage guild head.

Tenets are in game rules so have in game consequences. By no means does the player have to obey these tenets but be warned getting caught can have drastic actions. Like wise the last tenet is for those that refuse to join the Spellshroud understand that actions that bring shame to all wizards will bring war upon you if you so by feel you are up to the challenge.

Below is a more detailed summary of Ranks and lvl requirements to include multiclassed characters:

INITIATE:
Pure caster (LVL 1 TO LVL 5)
Multiclassed caster lvl (LVL 1 TO LVL 5)

APPRENTICE: (Must have 5 caster lvls before promotion)

Pure caster (LVL 5 TO LVL 10)
Multiclassed caster lvl (LVL 5 TO LVL 15)

ADEPT: (Must have 10 caster lvls and 15 total lvls before promotion)
Pure caster (LVL 10 TO LVL 25)
Multiclassed caster lvl (LVL 15 TO LVL 30)

MAGUS: (Must have 25 caster lvls and 30 total lvls before promotion)
Pure caster (LVL 25 AND OVER)
Multiclassed (TOTAL OF 30 LVLS WITH 25 CASTER LVLS)

****Guild Guide Lines****

Below are the Rules and guidelines to be followed, any mage found disrespecting these rules will be brought before the head of the Guild to explain their actions, those failing to give a valid and just explanation face expulsion from the guild.

NO MAGE OF EVIL INTENT WILL BE PERMITTED MEMBERSHIP INTO THE GUILD. STRICTLY NO NECROMANCERS! (Under review)
(Prospective members will first be assessed by Darius by the Guild Leader)

ANY MEMBER DISCOVERED CHOOSING OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL, TO SIDE WITH THE EVIL FORCES WILL BE EXPELLED, NO EXCEPTIONS!

GUILD ROBES MUST BE WORN WHENEVER IN THE GUILD HOUSE, AT ANY OFFICIAL MEETING, GUILD RELATED OR OTHERWISE. AND ANY OTHER OCCASION WHERE WE NEED TO SHOW UNITY AS A GUILD.

TRIALS FOR PROMOTION IN RANK WILL BE HELD IN THE PRESENCE OF THE GUILD LEADER AND ONE OTHER SAGUS.

ANY MEMBER FOUND USING THEIR MAGIC IN A DANGEROUS OR HOSTILE MANNER TO ANY OF THE TOWNSFOLK OR ANY INNOCENT TRAVELLER WITHOUT VALID REASON, FACE EXPULSION.

IF APPROACHED, GUILD MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO GIVE AID AND SUPPORT TO THOSE IN NEED OF IT.

ANYONE FOUND PURPOSELY DAMAGING GUILD HOUSE PROPERTY WILL FACE DEMOTION IN RANK.

In closing, as long as members abide by these rules, i can see no reason why we can't work well together, providing our services to any that need it, in fighting off the evil forces.
